Partner Authority

What solar companies, insurance agents, real estate professionals, and other third-party partners can and cannot say or do on behalf of Stated Homes.

Who This Applies To

Stated Homes works with referral and industry partners including solar installation companies, insurance agents, claim professionals, real estate professionals, property managers, and other home services businesses. These partners are authorized to refer customers and use the Solar Partner portal to generate Planning Ranges. They are not Stated Homes employees and do not have authority to make commitments on Stated's behalf.

What Partners May Say

Partners often need to explain Stated's process to a homeowner in the moment. The following statements are accurate and authorized. Partners should use these rather than improvising, which risks inadvertently making representations outside their authority.

Authorized Partner Statements

"Stated can provide a roof Planning Range based on the property address and available project details."
A Planning Range is a budgetary estimate, not a contract price.

"A Verified Stated Quote is issued only after Stated reviews measurements, photos, scope, inclusions, and exclusions."
The Verified Quote is fixed for the stated scope and is the number that goes in the contract.

"Stated controls the roofing price, scope, contract, payment gates, and change orders — not us."
Partners may facilitate introductions but cannot bind Stated to any term.

"Stated does not waive deductibles, negotiate insurance claims, or provide tax-credit advice."
These are firm limits required by Texas law and Stated's operating model.

"The homeowner works directly with Stated through the written quote process — same pricing as any direct customer."
Partners receive faster workflow and coordination, not pricing authority or hidden discounts.

What Partners Must Not Say

The following statements exceed partner authority and are not permitted regardless of intent. Partners who make these representations are acting outside their authorized scope and Stated is not bound by them.

Prohibited Representations

"We can get you a better price through our company." — Partners do not control Stated pricing.

"This roof replacement will qualify for the solar tax credit." — No partner is authorized to make tax-credit representations.

"Stated will take care of your deductible." — This is illegal under Texas law. No partner may say this in any form.

"I can approve your change order." — Only the homeowner of record can approve a Stated change order.

"I've confirmed Stated can start on [date]." — Partners cannot promise start dates or material availability.

Partner Pricing — No Hidden Discounts

Partners do not receive the ability to offer homeowners prices below what Stated charges directly. Pricing is issued through the same Stated quote process whether a homeowner comes directly or through a partner. What partners receive is speed and workflow support — not a discount margin to pass through.

The Rule

If a partner tells you that you're getting a special price because of them, or that partnering with them gives you access to pricing or terms not available to direct customers, that representation is not authorized by Stated Homes. Contact us at info@statedhomes.com to confirm any pricing you've received.

If a Partner Exceeds Their Authority

Partners who make representations outside their authorized scope — including tax credit promises, deductible waiver offers, or binding price commitments — are acting without Stated's authorization. Stated is not bound by such representations.

If This Happens to You

If a partner has told you something that conflicts with anything on this page — a special price, a deductible promise, a tax credit representation, or a guaranteed start date — contact Stated directly at info@statedhomes.com before signing anything. We will clarify what we are and are not committed to.
